Strategy Solitaire begins with four Aces on foundation and forces every other card to be assigned, in stock order, to one of eight tableau piles. Only after all 48 cards are placed may the piles unwind to foundation.
Each stock top may be placed on any of eight piles without a rank or suit restriction. Tableau cards cannot move to each other or to foundation during this phase, so every placement fixes part of a future removal order.
Once stock empties, only exposed pile tops may reach the suited foundations. A higher card placed above its lower suited predecessor blocks that pile until another route exposes the missing rank.
Using separate piles for compatible suit progress can reduce conflicts, but the random stock order may require temporary mixed piles. Compare the next needed rank in all four foundations before choosing a destination.
