Rules, scoring, and strategy
Sir Tommy, also known in this rules edition as Numerica, deals one current card at a time. Each card must go directly to a rank-building foundation or onto one of four unrestricted holding piles, from which only the top card can escape.
Holding piles accept anything
The exposed stock card may be placed on any of the four holding piles without a rank or suit restriction. Cards already in those piles cannot move between piles; only a top card can move to a foundation.
One current card must be resolved
Only one stock card is exposed at a time. Before the next card can turn, the current card must be sent either to a foundation or a holding pile, and there is no redeal after the stock ends.
Avoid burying the next rank
A low card needed soon can become inaccessible beneath a high blocker. Spread ranks across the four piles and keep likely foundation successors near their tops instead of building one deep miscellaneous stack.

Do Sir Tommy foundations follow suit?
No. In the implemented Numerica rules edition, foundations build upward by rank while suit and color are ignored.
Can holding-pile cards move between piles?
No. Once placed, a holding-pile card can move only when it is exposed and legal on a foundation.
Can I skip the current stock card?
No. The current card must be placed before the next stock card can be exposed.
