Complete guide
Carpet Solitaire removes the four Aces as starting foundations, lays twenty single cards in a four-by-five carpet, and keeps the other 28 cards in a one-pass stock feeding a waste pile.
Every occupied carpet slot contains one available card. Sending that card to foundation creates a space, but the space can be refilled only with the current waste card, not with another carpet card.
The four Aces are already placed. Add each suit's Two through King in sequence; cards may come from any carpet slot or from the exposed top of the waste.
Deal one card at a time onto the waste whenever desired. There is no redeal, and only the waste top is available, so a useful card can become buried if it is not played or parked in the carpet.
Foundation moves from the carpet create the only storage openings. Fill them with waste cards whose suited predecessors are close to playable, while leaving distant high ranks on the waste when another option exists.
No. Carpet cards move only to foundations; an empty carpet slot may be filled only from the waste.
No. All four Aces begin on their matching foundations before the carpet and stock are formed.
No. Carpet uses a single stock pass with no redeal.
