How to play
You complete Tangram when the union of all seven pieces covers the target silhouette within tolerance with no overlap, gap, or piece outside the boundary. The full Tangram position determines the outcome; visual shortcuts never replace the documented Tangram terminal rule.
- Tangram begins with the two large triangles, one medium triangle, two small triangles, square, and parallelogram beside a repository-authored silhouette. The Tangram deal identity and Original seven-tan silhouette rules v1 are stored together. Restarting Tangram reproduces this opening exactly.
- During Tangram, you select a tan, translate it, rotate by allowed increments, reflect the parallelogram when needed, and place it without overlapping another tan. The Tangram engine rejects profile violations, unavailable material, and every action attempted after Tangram reaches a terminal result.

Strategy tips
- A reliable Tangram plan is to anchor distinctive corners with large triangles and reserve narrow concavities for the small triangles or reflected parallelogram. A Tangram hint is legal and deterministic. The next Tangram hint exposes one bounded action; it never claims a forced Tangram win.
- A costly Tangram mistake is to match the outer outline while two pieces overlap internally; completion checks occupied area and pairwise intersections, not appearance alone. Undo supports studying that Tangram decision, while restart preserves the original seeded Tangram opening.
- In the Tangram endgame, use the final small piece to close measured boundary gaps and adjust neighbouring rotations instead of forcing it through overlap. Check every remaining Tangram action before committing because its terminal rule is enforced immediately.
