Complete guide
Gomoku is a complete browser implementation with its own versioned rules profile. Build an unbroken line of five stones on a fifteen-by-fifteen board while stopping the computer's intersecting threats.

Place one stone on any empty intersection each turn. Horizontal, vertical, and diagonal lines all count, and this freestyle profile accepts a line of five or more stones.
Be the first player to complete a continuous line containing at least five of your own stones. Before committing to an attack, scan every row, column, and diagonal for immediate wins and blocks, then prefer a move that creates two next-turn threats.
Create open-ended lines that can grow in two directions, and combine crossing three- and four-stone threats so one defensive reply cannot block every winning point. Extending one obvious line without checking the opponent's open four loses immediately, while a line blocked at both ends is much less valuable than it looks.
