Backup and local data

Clear My Club

Local by design
How My Club works
Classic Games Club uses browser storage for continuity without an account. It does not send your favorites, results, settings, or backup file to a player-profile server.
Recent, not endless
Detailed result history is capped at 200 entries. Aggregate lifetime records can remain after older dated rows roll off.
Facts, not rankings
Achievements come only from completed local results. They are personal milestones, not verified public rankings or solvability claims.
You control portability
Export creates a JSON file on your device. Restore validates the full schema first and waits for explicit replacement confirmation.
My Club questions
Where is my game history stored?
In this browser's local storage for classicgamesclub.com. Clearing site data or using another browser removes access unless you keep a downloaded backup.
Why can lifetime totals be higher than the dated history?
Lifetime aggregates predate the 200-result timeline and do not invent missing completion dates. Older detailed rows also roll off when the cap is reached.
What is included in a backup?
My Club settings, favorites, recently opened games, bounded result history, lifetime records, and daily completions. In-progress boards are separate and are not included.
Can a backup file change data as soon as I choose it?
No. Choosing a file only validates and previews it. Replacement stays disabled until you check the explicit confirmation.
