Complete guide
Tents Puzzle is a complete browser implementation with its own versioned rules profile. Place four tents around four fixed trees on a four-by-four lawn while matching every row and column total and preventing tents from touching even diagonally.

Mark an editable lawn cell as tent or grass, or clear it. Every tent must touch exactly one tree orthogonally, every tree must receive one tent, and tents cannot touch in eight directions.
Complete all lawn cells with exactly four legal tents while satisfying every tree pairing and all row and column totals. Reconcile the last tree with both its row and column deficits; if only one tent remains, make sure its placement does not give a neighboring tree a second partner.
Use zero-count rows and columns to mark grass immediately, then pair trees with the remaining orthogonal cells while eliminating squares diagonally adjacent to a tent. A tent diagonally beside another tent is illegal even when both pair with different trees, and one tent cannot serve two orthogonally adjacent trees.
