Complete guide
Last Monarch is a complete browser implementation with its own versioned rules profile. Displace cards across a complete four-by-thirteen grid until fifty-one cards have climbed suited foundations and one monarch remains.

Shift one grid card into an orthogonally adjacent occupied position. The displaced target goes first to its legal suited foundation, or otherwise to the first empty reserve; reserve cards may move to foundations.
Build fifty-one cards onto the four suited foundations, leaving exactly one card outside them as the Last Monarch. With foundations nearly complete, use the holes in the grid to route the final successor ranks next to movable source cards before all reserves fill.
Target an Ace or the next foundation rank whenever possible so a shift frees space without consuming a reserve, and keep reserve capacity for unavoidable displaced cards. A diagonal target is never adjacent, and a shift is illegal when its displaced card fits neither a foundation nor one of the four empty reserves.
